The history of AMARPRAKASH goes back to 1900. LATE. SHRI. PARASMULL SURANA migrated from Rajasthan to Chennai for pursuing his entrepreneurial passion and started money lending to small scale sectors. Later, his son SHRI. AMARCHAND SURANA (10th June 1932 to 18th April 1984) was born and brought up in Chennai. He was the pioneer in India in manufacturing Sodium light for roads, in the initial days of road development in our country. Further, he took the initiative towards the electrical manufacturing under the name “ALLIED INDUSTRIES” in 1970. The products were popular, earning the company the reputation for providing higher quality materials at an affordable price to central & state government sectors.
The next generation entrepreneur our Chairman Emeritus, MR. SUDHIR KUMAR SURANA, a prominent member of the community, a social worker by heart, continued the legacy and setup new business in the year of 1989 into automobile finance, which was a new trend in Chennai. In 2004, he expanded his interest from automobile finance to real estate, Infrastructure and property development, and set the foundation stone for real estate business.
In 1999 from the inspiration of his forefathers, MR. AADARSH KUMAR SURANA - Managing Director of Amarprakash Developers, joined office as a part-time to assist his father in automobile finance and took it to the peak in the year of 2003. Later, he ventured into business of real estate and took it to a higher altitude in a short span of time. His dedication towards new passion offered better living solutions to the people with a sense of security, comfort and joy through residential projects.
To grow in the real estate sector, He took business to a new level and practiced new trends with the vision of the company’s multiplied growth. As business was growing at a fast pace, his younger brothers Mr. Ashish Surana, an engineer graduate who joined the business in 2007, and Mr. Kuldeep Surana, a lawyer by profession joined the venture in 2011 for excellence and together they carried out the legacy to a whole newer level and the company flourished and won the hearts of the customers.
