Amarchand Surana (10 June 1932 – 18 April 1984), born and raised in Chennai, became a pioneer in manufacturing sodium lights for roads during the early days of India’s infrastructure development. He later established Allied Industries in 1970, expanding into electrical manufacturing and earning recognition for delivering high-quality products to central and state government sectors.
